Being a 4N member is great for networking in a relaxed, fun and friendly environment. But 4N is also a significant investment in terms of time and money, so how do you know if it’s actually working for you? This is where call tracking comes in.
Getting and keeping customers is the most critical part of running a business. But unless you’re lucky enough to be getting all of your customers through recommendations and word of mouth then the chances are that at some stage you’re going to have to think about paid advertising, whether it be networking through 4N or BNI, online using Google Adwords, Bing, Facebook ads, etc., or offline through leaflets, newspapers, magazine, radio, television and so on.
Unfortunately this is expensive and you don’t always know if it’s working. There’s a famous quote from John Wanamaker, a retail pioneer from the early 20th century:
“Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don’t know which half!” I don’t know about you but I hate wasting any money, let alone half of everything I’m spending!
