Pausing call recording mid call is really important for things like taking payments & discussing confidential information – and it’s really easy to do!
How can I pause my call recording mid call?
Simply press #1 on the keypad of your device, whether that be a physical IP Phone, your mobile, or even the Invoco Softphone. You’ll hear a confirmation beep through your receiver to let you know the recording has successfully paused. It’s usually a good idea to inform the customer that you’re actioning this for them – they won’t hear the confirmation beep and it’s just generally good practice to let them know!
…and to restart call recording?
To re-enable call recording, just repeat #1 once again.
...and if you forget to turn it back on and panic that you’ve missed a bunch of recordings afterwards?
Don’t worry! This setting resets after you’ve hung up the phone – so your next call will be recorded unless you choose to turn it back off manually.
