The UK's Most Loved Telecom Company

What is FTTP?

FTTP stands for Fibre To The Premise and is basically a broadband connection based on providing full fibre all the way to the home or office. Other so-called ‘fibre’ products such as FTTC still rely on using the existing copper lines from the street cabinet to the end user and therefore are limited on the speeds that can be achieved.

How FTTP works

Full fibre optic communications offer superior performance as data can be transmitted at much higher speeds and over much greater distances than copper and typically offers speeds of up to around 900Mb/s.

FTTP is not yet available in all areas but is being rapidly rolled out throughout the UK.
